The perfect spaghetti squash
Spaghetti squash is so versatile, and can be made as a healthy meal the same way that you would utilize normal spaghetti! You can top with pesto, a marinara or roasted tomato sauce. Or throw in any sort of veggies and saute in some olive oil and garlic. Add a sprinkle of grated cheese, and DELISH.
There are some easy, simple steps to make it perfectly every time! Method below.
Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Cut squash length-wise, and separate each half. Scoop out seeds.
Spray each half with olive oil and sprinkle salt and pepper
Place both halves face down on parchment paper. Poke holes in skin of squash with a fork or knife.
Put into oven for 30-40 minutes MAX. You don’t want to overcook, otherwise it gets a little too tough. You will know its ready when the skin starts to brown and the squash itself is fork tender.
Let cool, then scoop out.
Enjoy with toppings of choice! Pasta sauce, pesto, garlic and olive oil. Some parmesan cheese. Mix it up and experiment!
